Biosketch
Massimo Vespignani was born in Rome (Italy) in 1984.
He received his B.S. Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Campus Bio-Medico University in 2007. His graduation thesis was entitled "Analysis of the effects of urban pollution on respiratory health".
In May 2009, he received his M.S. Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Campus Bio-Medico University with a thesis entitled "Experimental analysis of a current-based perception system for electrically actuated rehabilitation robots".
Since September 2009 he's with the Biomedical Robotics and Biomicrosystems Lab as a research assistant.
Research Interests
His main research tasks include:
- the development of control software and graphical user interface (GUI) for an upper-limb rehabilitation robot, the CBM-Motus;
- the mechanical, electrical and functional design of a mechatronic board for studies on intrinsically-motivated cumulative learning with children and capuchin monkeys, within the European Project IM-CLeVeR (FP7-ICT-IP-231722).
