Giovanni Di Pino was born in Catania in August 1979. He received his Medical Degree in 2003 at Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome with Summa Cum Laude and Honor Mention.
He worked in Italian and American Laboratories mainly involved in studying the mechanisms and molecules proper of neurodevelopment, apoptosis and neurophysiological intracellular recording.
In 2007 he started a Ph.d program primarily interested in developing bidirectional brain to computer interfaces to control sensorized cybernetic prostheses.
Research interest
- In Vivo evaluation of a biomechatronics multi-DoF sensorized hand prosthesis
- Deeper understanding neuroplastic changes after nervous system injuries
- Designing and development of innovative bidirectional neural interfaces
